Terms of Use and Sale

EmberBOM is operated by Han Wu, an individual software developer based in China. These terms apply to the EmberBOM website, evaluation software, and paid software licenses.

Product scope

EmberBOM is an offline developer tool that reads documented build evidence and exports component inventory and SBOM files within its published supported scope. It is not a vulnerability scanner, antivirus product, legal service, compliance certification, or guarantee that firmware is free of unknown components or obligations.

Evaluation

One legal organization may evaluate an unmodified release for fourteen consecutive days from first use, for up to five internal users and only on projects it owns or is authorized to scan. At the end of the evaluation, it must purchase a license or stop using and delete the software.

Paid license

The USD 99 Founding Team License covers one legal organization and up to five internal users. Eligible versions made available during the first twelve months after purchase may be used perpetually. There is no automatic renewal. The complete software rights and restrictions are stated in the license notice distributed with EmberBOM.

Orders

Orders are processed by Paddle.com, EmberBOM's online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment-related customer service and returns. Buyers must review the product scope, price, terms, and refund policy before purchase. EmberBOM never receives or stores payment-card details.

No included services

A license does not include inspection of a customer project, build configuration, custom rules, consulting, hosted storage, undocumented toolchains, or a service-level agreement. Product corrections and updates may be generally released without creating a guaranteed schedule or response time.

Acceptable use

Users must have authorization to scan each project. They may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or offer EmberBOM as a hosted or third-party scanning service, except where applicable law does not permit a restriction.

Generated output

The licensed organization may use and share the reports and SBOMs it generates, subject to rights and restrictions applicable to its project and third-party content. EmberBOM claims no ownership of customer project data or generated output.

Refunds and mandatory rights

The published refund policy forms part of these terms. Mandatory legal rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.
